DNX5120 has built in nav only. BT has to be added. Only 2 RCA pre-outs also. Just put one in a 350Z today!

You indicated that this unit only has 2 RCA pre-outs...what disadvantage is this then?

No need for rear speakers. Front speakers and subs is all you need in a good system.

Good find...

What is the biggest difference other than a newer model. I see it has Voice commands...does the 5120 not have this???? I notice re-charge on the IPOD.

I am ready...juts trying to pull the trigger on something, that doesn't require an arm and a leg.

Also what does "motorized face mean"

That is true that you only need front and subs.... but will the headunit be set up to pre out in that way or will it be just front and rear, I am not sure. The differences that I am aware of from the more expensive units are that there is a higher voltage for the pre outs, and tuning options.

There seems to be no difference other than price between the 5120 and 5140, with the exception of the 5140's ability to better pick up the Apple IPHONE via Bluetooth.

I really leaning towards the 5120 and put the difference in cash towards an even better Focal door speaker.

What do you think?

With speakers, it's all about how well it gets installed (easy part) and then tuning them. I managed to do pretty well with 3-band EQ. The front speakers were Boston Acoustics and the rear were MB Quart reference. They're not pricey speakers, but sounded pretty good with the EQ settings I had. It's no high end system.

Get what you like between the two. If you want better speakers, get them or you won't be happy. I think my Diamond HEX components are worth around $250 now. That's my budget for speakers.

Yes. The rear outputs can either be speakers or subs. It has an adjustment to switch it.
