Ok busted out the service manual, here is the factory wiring:
![]() ![]() The aftermarket harnesses from both Crutchfield and Car Toys did not match this correctly. I'll have to build my own. Couple questions for you guys. 1) There is no ground wire so I assume it is grounded through the radio chassis to the car chassis via the mounting bracket? So pin 15 (steering switch ground) and pin 8 (Illumination ground) don't go anywhere on an aftermarket radio, they must just be grounded to the car chassis? And the aftermarket radio must also be grounded directly to the car chassis? 2) What about pin 18 (speed sensor), no problem not having it hooked up? 3) AXXESS adapter uses grey/red and grey/blue wires, but attached which way to pins 6 and 16 (steering switch A and B)? 4) where can I pick up this M80 plug and pins? |
