Default Unusual problem with Bose system

Just throwing this out there to see if anyone has experienced similar.

I got a leftover Touring Sport Z with about 3,500 miles on it. Right after I got it, I noticed the driver rear speaker sounded blown. I took it in, they replaced it. Right away I could tell it was not fixed. The mechanic said he swore it was replaced and sounded fine... I didn't believe him, now I do.

They replaced the speaker 1 or 2 more times (I honestly forget). Then they replaced the amp. And now finally, they replaced the head unit. The manager was very excited that it was all finally working correctly.. he brought me in the shop to confirm and yes, for the first time in 6 weeks of owning the car - all the speakers worked.

We thought everything was fixed... I left and went on my way. I even double checked again by localizing the sound to that specific speaker - it worked.
Half way home... THE SAME SPEAKER went bad again. Sounds blown. EVERYTHING has been replaced. The speaker (more than once), the amp and the head unit. Only thing left is the wiring. I'm thinking theres an issue with the wire going to that speaker causing a short of some sort?

He told me he might have to have a tech from Nissan come out to see the are. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any ideas?

Thanks.

Bose blows! LOL sorry could not resist.

Bose had had many problems in the car audio world, I would jet let your shop take care of it or if it never gets to what you want go aftermarket. Just my .02

I'd definitely lean toward the wiring. Unless of course you're listening to the stereo at full volume.

if you have replaced all the components, it's got to be bad wiring

Yeah, I'm well aware of how horrible Blose is. I sold (home) audio for several years and anyone that knows anything about audio, knows that Bose is just a marketing scheme for people that don't know audio.

That being said... my car is not the primary place where I do my serious music listening and (at this time) I do not want to be bothered with messing around with aftermarket systems.

As far as it never getting to where I want it... it's pretty simple.. that one speaker only outputs distortion with a hint of the music it's trying to reproduce. There's no way that will ever be acceptable.

If you read my post, it's evident that the volume level is completely irrelevant.

That's what I'm thinking. If there's a cut in the wire and maybe it's hitting the frame and causing an issue?

If a wire was cut, or shorting the deck/amp would shut down/go into protection. is it with all music? CD, radio...?

All sources. Only that one speaker, even though it's been replaced more than once and the amp and head unit have both been replaced.
