Default Win a prize answering this question 4ohm 2ohm setup

So I will have a kenwood 3 channel amp. First two channels running 4ohm comp speakers.. The other channel, sub, CAN I run a 2ohm Jl w3 even though the other 2 channels are powering 4ohm speakers??????

Reason being, I see the 2ohm jl w3 handles more RMS than the 4 ohm

I emailed a couple folks but im impatient with waiting. I gotta do something

You can run a 2 ohm sub as long as the channel can handle it. I believe in this case you can. What do I win?

easiest way to check is to get a multimeter and set it to ohm's. if you're messing with amps you should have a multimeter to correctly set the gain anyway

You win some REP POINTS "just found out about them" so I got plenty to give Yea I got the single 2ohm w3v3 12'' so glad it will work...

FYI on the multimeter... Im going to run all the wires and get everything ready and pay the audio stop 10-15 bucks to tune it and connect dangling wires to amp. BWAHAHAHAHAHAH Cheap people kill this economy I know
