Do I need a dash kit for a DNX6960 in my NISMO?

If 6960 is Double DIN, then you do not. However you'll get a very small gap around HU. I never used a dash kit with my car because the gap

If 6960 is Double DIN, then you do not. However you'll get a very small gap around HU. I never used a dash kit with my car because the gap is REALLY small (also when my headunit was installed, this dash kit wasn't ready to buy). If you want to spend the extra money, it's your call.

I put my 9960 in first without a kit and had the small gap that AK spoke of. I bought a Metra kit off of a guy here and installed it.
I honestly liked it better without the kit. I can post pictures of both tonight to show you the difference.

Wow.. Like I've said a few times on this forum.. using the dash kit is all about personal preference, but for me that gap on the side would drive me nuts!

The gap really isn't a large as it looks in the picture. The flash really "enlarged" the space. Wish I'd taken a few pics further away like I did with the kit.

i'm going without the dash kit. all the ones i have seen look like cheap painted plastic. imho
