Thanks,I'll practice. |
So I finally got my kit installed thanks to Lou over at Amplified Motorsports. I love it. Works great and is so much easier to back up now! Install was very smooth since I didn't have to do it myself. I think it would have been too complex for me to do it myself. I am rather new to cars and modding.

tell me more about your camera
Prices, which unit, ect..Thanks. You have video and nav over ride?

Around 3 hours or so. I lost track of time, they were a cool bunch of guys are we were chatting about all sorts of things!
|
Oh, and I am curious about the side camera option now. Changing lanes in the roadster is always a left threatening risk!

Installed the camera kit. Great kit.
I did as instructed and everything worked. It took me 9 hours on a saturday but that's also because I installed the Dynamat in the rear area while I had all the parts out. Camera great... however, disappointed that the dynamat seemed to do very little to abate the road peble/gravel/ sand noise from the rear. All in all, the camera and also the instructions were great!! Well worth the money Jay Venturi |
Anyone know if is it still possible to order the 09 kit?
Thanks |

hey Brian (bdl99) I ordered my kit with cam 2 days ago, any idea when it ships? Sorry to bother you I'm just wondering
|
Anyone know if the 2010 harness will work for the 2011s? Thanks. I know other people will be wondering as well.
|
The 2011 has a factory installed option. No need for this.

I just finished installing my kit the other day. Took me awhile to get around to it but after I started it didn't take me long at all. It was so easy with the directions provided. Thanks to both Jeffblue and BDL99 for setting this up.

Just PM'd you

Jeff I finally ordered the NavTool thingy for my '09 Z
are you using the KENWOOD CMOS-300 MULTI VIEW BACK UP CAMERA? is it compatible with the NavTool? Water resistant? THX! |
its water resistant, and AFAIK its compatible.
|
If I wanted to hook up a cam to my 2k9 nav, and didn't want to turn a screw, what would it cost me to have someone secure the parts and install?
The nav tool retail is $350? The camera (CMOS) about $200? Install $??? Ayone recommend using proximity sensors? And if so what are the best ones? I would expect that to be a cheaper alternative to rigging in a camera to the 2k9 nav system. Appreciate all opinions...... Perhaps there is still a discount available for the kit?? Thanks all.... Just picked up a PG 2k9 Touring with 8500 miles on it about 3 weeks ago and in love with the machine. Hate to play the Braille game reverse parking ;) TJM |
I have a 2010 370Z roadster with NAV. I think a plug and play harness was created by dbl99 to function as the 2011, is that still available?

Does CMOS-300 Universal Rear View Camera With Multi-View fit out butt hole of car? Must it be attached elsewhere?
|
Quote:
i dont think it will fit out the butt hole. And i wouldn't recommend putting it there either, it doesn't give you a good viewing angle, its too low. The lisence plate location is much better, its very close to where the OEM cameras go. |
Do you have a pic of camera location?

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_M...0/IMG_2190.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_M...0/IMG_2191.JPG you have to saw off the sides of the camera bracket. Basically where the flat part of the mount extends out past the hinges needs to be cut off. let me know if you need further clarification. you're essentially just cutting off part of the flat surface that it mounts on. |
Did anyone with a 09 succesfully install their cameras to their OEM NAV screen?
My shop tried installing it this past weekend and they couldnt get it to work... |
