Default What did i do wrong? ( aswc-1)

Going by axxess website i followed 1 of 4 schematics, thought i hooked up everything correctly, but once i put the battery back on i blew a fuse. Automatically i just took the stupif thing off cause i got scared, wasnt confident in myself to begin with. I checked all wires and everything looked good. Replace the fuse and my radio worked again. What am i doing wrong? Cause they are showing 5 schematics and i tryed the second so far and just said screw it and left it out. Anyone messed with this interface before?

I gotta 09 370z base

A little more information would help. Which fuse did you blow? What was the factory radio you started with? Can we get a picture of how you wired in the ASCW-1? A picture of your wiring job will be more helpful than saying you wired it in right. I have an ASCW-1 wired in to my 09 but my 09 had the factory NAV. The wiring diagrams the Axxess provides are a little vague IMO. With my install there was a second ground that had to be wired in that the Axxess wiring diagrams failed to talk about for it to work properly. Also the auto program tends not to work on 370Zs. I had to manually program mine. If you take a picture try to show where you wired it in with relationship to plug that would go into the factory head unit. IIRC some of the wires are different colors depending on which stereo you start out with. With my install I had to reference the FSM pin out to get the right wires.

OP: It might help VABAM if you also post a link to the wiring diagram you used. Just in case Axxess changed something (eg, wire colors) since he installed his.

Or read the big, long sticky on this piece, and then try again.

To be honest, that thread can be confusing to some people. I didn’t find it particularly helpful when I did my install.

Pics of your wiring would be the first thing I'd ask for. Also yes what fuse blew
