Default Aux jack on Touring w/o Nav-Audio Problem

So I usually hook up my iPod to the Aux jack and works fine. Today however, I notice that sound is only coming from one side of the car. I've already checked the following and it still happens:

Balance control: at equal. no sound when you turn it towards the side with no sound.

Other inputs (FM/SAT/CD/BT): working normally (sound from both sides)

Aux. Wire: Tried several others, same thing

Device: Tried the iPod, iPad & Phone (all devices are working normally)

Sometimes it works fine for a few minutes, then cuts out. I'm hoping its not the stereo, but it seems the only thing left. Has this happened to anyone else? Would the dealer install a new stereo or is the Aux port separate?

Note: Stock Touring radio w/o Nav.

Thanks in advance.

Can be a short in the wire but you said you tried others or could be a short in the ipods connection. Or could be your Aux input.

I'm gonna have the dealer look at it if its still happening. I can't think of anything else to check. Does anyone know if the Aux input jack is part of the deck?

Fixed it! She just needed a smack! Hit the side of the stereo and now it's back to normal.
