Can I upgrade my Base headunit with the Touring's headunit?

I was just wandering if this can be achieved by simply plug n play. I want to be able to play my mp3 cds.

No, If you search around you will find that others have asked. You can do it just you would have to put in the new head unit the new dash trim the bose amps the bose wiring the bose speakers all that and it is not even close to being worth it.

Unless the touring has a non bose and in that case you might be able to do it but not sure.

I need to find someone as knowledgeable as you to help me rework my base audio system in my 370z.

Not to oversimplify it but replacing a head unit is cake...

Typically it involves a plastic dash kit, a color coded wire harness, and about an hour or two of your time. Do some research, buy your parts online (much cheaper than BB) and get to work.

hey tongman if you can install dinoc on your fangs and valance you can definitely tackle the HU swap. it's real easy to do and DIY's here as well.

basically you only need your new doubledin HU, wirehareness, antenna adapter (make sure you power that blue dangling wire), and a PAC remote adapter. all can be had through amazon for cheap. i suggest you wire up your rear camera too if you're even thinking about doing that in the future. just do it all at once.

and if you see a tiny gap along the bezel you can make your own trim with some hard-felt sold at art stores. no need to buy a trim kit, just reuse your stock one.
