i had a dnx5120 a while back and it would play avi, mpg, mpeg and mp4 files from a usb interface but a buddy of mine had a newer 6xxx model and it wouldn't play those files. have you tried to see if you can get data video to playback without any conversion?

I've got to say dealing with Wicked Cas was great!! It only took less than a week for the 9960 to reach half way across the world upon payment... Now all i have to wait is the aftermarket radio face plate from zcarparts.com .... cant wait to instal the new head unit!!!

i have not used mine enough yet... :(

have you found a way to have voice prompts not mute the music but play over it? My pioneer used to do that......

Thanks,

Has anyone considered getting a front view cam as well as the rear view cam?

I'm planning on getting the NISMO this weekend and wanted to protect front lip as much as possible. Is this even possible? I'm worried about running the wires to the front of the car because I need to stay away from the heat of everything in the engine bay.

Does anyone know if this has been done in the 370z?

i remember seeing some option in my JDM fairlady catalog they sold factory cameras for the frontend. in japan there are a lot of blind interesctions and i guess it aids in knowing what is going to crash into you moments before it does. :D

btw, if you want, just wire it through the firewall (into either the brake or battery cavities), into the fender, into the front bumper. that will keep it away from heat.

or just learn where your front lip is??? :tiphat:

I know, I should. But even when I thought I figured it out on my EVO, I damaged it. Ended up paying $600 total to fix it all. A $150 camera will save me the trouble. Plus, its kinda cool to have one. Haha!

Thanks for the tip! I'll do that.

Thanks for the info. Is there a good front end camera that you would recommend? I was thinking of this Boyo.

Amazon.com: Keyhole type camera, Non-Reverse for front viewing: Electronics

Thanks,

well i doubt that the voice control would work with music in the background thats why it mutes when you hit the switch :tiphat:
