Hey Westwood:

Great looking install. How has your luck been with the SWI-JACK? Do all of the steering wheel controls work as before, and is there any lag time in operation like I have read about in previous posts?

Thanks

Danny in Las Vegas

^i'd like to know the same thing. i've heard there is a delay with processing the input before it sends it to the head unit which is my main reason for not going aftermarket yet.

its perfect i skip tracks no lag,but there is a mini lag in the volume but nothing crazy id rather have a lil lag on the volume than losing my steering controls, i can switch source and everything is working fine for me and was installed at Future Shop. i wouldn't dare messing with my babies wires ;)

Westwood.. When u bought the 9960 did u have to buy the ipod/iphone cable & the steering control unit seperately? Or is it all included in the box?

LinPark 07-29-2010 07:16 PM

The iPod cable and steering control don't come standard in the box - at least that is how mine arrived.

bigaudiofanat 07-29-2010 07:36 PM

Correct they are usually extra.

abgyak 07-29-2010 08:31 PM

I finally end up paying USD1830 for the Head unit + Cmos300 + Ipod/iphone cable + Steering control and another USD180 for shipping... This thing sure is expensive... I kinda thought it would be in the 1400-1500 range...

Hey Westwood, I was wondering how the interface buttons are treating you? Ive heard that some people find the touch sensitive buttons annoying because of accidently pressing on some of the buttons while trying to press on the touch screen (like if you were to press on menu on the screen and accidently press the eject button). Does this happen for you?
