You re not going to hear any difference with just a new head unit. the bose speakers have to be ran off the bose amp because of there ohms ratings.

If you try to run them off a head unit you will fry the head units amp. Your best bet is to remove all the bose stuff and start fresh. __________________ Need help with car audio or electronics?
