USB Thumb drive needs periodic re-connection
I use a usb thumb drives (8 Gbytes, fat32 and MP3 files) on my 370Z with Navi. The top level folders are albums and mp3 files reside within them) and all works great...except that periodically (once every couple of days) I get a no USB device found error. This is remedied by un-plugging and then re-connecting the thumb drive. Most of the time the error occurs when I switch to the USB device from the radio or hard drive, but on some rare cases, the disconnect happens between songs. I have tried a couple of different makes of USB drives with no improvment.
Anybody else have this issue and if so, any remedies? I understand that there is a Nissan update for the NAVI sound system's firmware but have been unable to find any info on that update. Is there any method to copu contents of a thumb drive onto the NAVI's hard drive?
