Default Car Speed Signal Input and Reverse Gear Signal Input tap locations?

I am in the process of installing a Pioneer AVIC Z110BT in my 2010 base 370z coup. Does anyone have any info on where I tap in the pink Car Speed Signal Input and the purple Reverse Gear Signal Input wires? I am using a back-up cam. I have a voltage meter to test but don’t know where to start looking. I did not see that info listed on the install videos (very good videos) and have not been able to find the info here yet. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

im not sure about the speed sensor line, but the rear lamp wire is orange and can be found where to look in the AK370 DIY page.

Just a warning if you do hook this wire up to the speed sense wire you will not be able to view video or do a lot with the nav when in motion. That being said I am not sure which wire you need.

Thanks for the help. I have no idea what I am doing. I will not hook up the speed sense wire. Thanks again.

This is not true. Take a look at avic411.com I have done the hack on a couple of units in other cars and it works. From what I understand the unit uses gps to tell when the vehicle is in motion. The VSS just assists the gps to be more smooth and accurate. As for which wire in the Z to hook it to I'm not sure but when you find it you can hook it up, do the bypass and it will work. Congrats on the Pioneer personally I love them.

I have the speed wire hooked up on and have done the hack for the X920BT and it works.

The speed wire is shown on this post I did on the same topic. Pin 18 yellow.

PG6speed was nice enough to send me this image for the reverse wire location. When you take the loom off there are two harnesses merged. For me the one closest to the metal interior wall had the orangish tanish wire for reverse. There are 4-5 in there so youll have to test them with a meter. Should read 0 volts in gear/neutral and 11-14 with the car in reverse.

Nevermind, found it, tapped it, works great!!!!! Now, if I had remembered to program the Metra ASWC BEOFRE I pushed it all behind the HU and packaged everything all back up, I would be more than just 98% happy with my install.

Just did the install, and on the 2010 7AT the reverse light relay is right there above the radio stack. No need to sift through the wire bundle in the footwell or go back to the tail light harness.

I don't believe the manual transmission model has this relay if I read the schematic correctly.

You have to poke into the wire than wrap them back up.
