Newbie questions

Hey guys, I got the touring + nav. A few questions:

1. is the Live traffic only works with paid subscription?

2. Is there anything you can do that can make the screen able to read chinese, japanese characters?

3. I spot yellow,red, white socket below the ipod cable, what does it do? I know its for the Aux channel, but what do you recommend to put in there? I was thinking of a portable dvd but I just realize that those things need power cords.. so its a no :S what can I put there?

1. Yes

2. Not sure

3. They are audio inputs and outputs usually will have labels that will tell you what is what. This allows you to add ps2' or other things if you want.

3. There's a power socket below the aux inputs if you have an adaptor. You can plug in DVDs, PSPs, PS2s, video cameras, ipods, etc. Basically anything that has video out.

I would think you would be able to change it, look in the Navi Setup Guide book

I dont have anything hooked up to the AV jack, Dont think it allows you to watch videos while driving so whats the use. JK
