Default Sonic Electronix? Woofers etc?..Others???

Buying a jl audio 12w3v3 tonight or tomorrow. I always buy things in person, especially car audio. If i have bought online i have gone with crutchfield or amazon.

However, I need a cheap price and was gonna go with sonic electronix, woofers etc. or another 3rd party online retailer.

I am really nervous about buying jl audio for such a cheap price online. Has anyone used any of these websites and do you have any good or bad experiences to share. I cant take a chance of getting burned online and I dont know anything about either of these websites. Are they reliable?

JL doesn not honor a warranty if their products are bought online, unless its from crutchfield or their website. The prices are high however. Woofers and sonic are reputable companies, you will get what you paid for. In my opinion your best bet would be to go to a couple local dealers and offer 200 bucks cash, Im positive you'll find one and if you ever have a warranty issue, JL is good with repalcing their product bought authorized.

Dude I ordered all my stuff from Woofer Etc. and Online Car Stereo. Both places shipped me 100% brand new merchandise sealed in factory boxes. Yes you lose your factory warranty but hell you save 1/2 the $. I believe my sub ( JL12w6v2 ) came from OLCS and after you check out they will call you later that evening and ask for you to send some info to them. Copy of your dr.lic# credit card # and also sign some statement saying you live where you live or something. It is a bit weird but I guess it protects them from people canceling their credit cards after the merchandise has shipped. Woofer Etc. just called my house the night of purchase confirming I lived at that address and phone#.
If you look at Onlines Car Stereo JL Audio section and look up the HD900/5 amp you will see my review of the amp their. (Nik in Tampa).

I ordered 3 grand worth stuff and would buy from either with confidence again. I don't know about Sonix personally but have read a couple bad reviews.

Good luck,
Nik

I have previously ordered from Sonic Electronix, and I got brand new in the box stuff. Quick shipping as well, overseas no less! Just because something is cheaper doesn't always mean its a bad deal... It just means you might not be able to send it back to the manufacturer for a swap. Although everything I've ordered from them for my sub setup has worked superbly.

I buy all my stuff from woofers etc.. and a few online car strereo. You will have absolutley no problems with the merchandise except it's cheaper.
I went to a local installer here and told him that i could get a cheaper price on my jl500/5 he looked it up while i was there. The story he gave me was that if the amp was to be repaired it would not be repaired by some other party other than jl. My question to him was if my amp was being repaired what does it matter to me or how would i really know if jl or someone else repaired it ?? bottom line is they offer the same warranty for cheaper.
So they try and justify by saying stuff like that.

sonicelectronix ftw.. I have personally bought 3 HU's, 3 amps and a sub from them over the years, and never had a problem with anything I've ordered there.

I have use Sonix without issues.

Just use your credit card as an extra assurance. If you have issues with returns or conflicting policies, just dispute it.

Of course another option would be you could just scrap JL and go with Kicker.

I have the SS Series 6.5's in my doors and (pre-trade in) 2x Kicker S10L7's in the back with a KX1200.1 powering them. Needless to say it was awesome.

I'm a Sonic Electronics customer...bought subs, Kenwood Excelon gear...other speakers....no issues whatsoever.

OK, so no direct-warranty, but Sonic still warrants the products themselves...extended warranties are available, etc.

Just my input...I like saving $$ personally.

I've ordered several things from Sonix over the last year. Headunit, amps, adaptors, speakers, backup cam etc. Basically everything for my stereo instal except the subwoofers.

All came in sealed boxes, easy delivery, never a problem with payment.

I would recommend them and will be using them again in the future.
