JBL BassHub - how high does it poke out?

The JBL BassHub passive speaker looks like it might be a good option if I don't want to lose any space in my trunk... but it is 6.5 inches tall

Default JBL BassHub - how high does it poke out?

The JBL BassHub passive speaker looks like it might be a good option if I don't want to lose any space in my trunk... but it is 6.5 inches tall and it looks like the existing Bose sub is about 4.5 inches tall.

The JBL sub has an indentation on the bottom that looks like it is about an inch from the pictures, so that means it would be about 1.5 inches taller than the Bose sub. Does anyone have one installed? Does it poke out a lot? Does it matter?
