If the board hasn't been loaded it will give you the green light but none of the climate controls will respond.

I'm fairly positive I loaded the software onto it correctly. Every screnshot was identical to what I had loaded within the program.

Is the firmware required? I don't have the Bluetooth module on the board. Nor did I see any switch.
