Does this Navi know what a U-TURN is???

I was driving home today and just for kicks, I turned on route guidance to an out of state location. It wanted me to make a right turn ahead. I did not, and just continued on. To my surprise, I was not asked to make a U-TURN. It asked me to make a right turn in another 1.5 miles. I passed that turn, too. To my dismay, it did not ask me to make a U-TURN. Just keep going, make a right turn in 2 miles. Which, by the way, makes no sense. Without making the U-Turn probably adds 10+ minutes to the route. This is insane! Does someone know of a setting to change this??! I'm dumbfounded.

I also turned down my private driveway (a DEAD END road) and was about a mile offroad and it didn't even tell me that I was going the wrong way. Nothing auditory, nothing on the screen. Just a yellow line trailing behind me that should be my route, but it didn't tell me I'm going the wrong way.

A gps can not always distinguish everything you are trying to make it say. But if you know you can make a U turn do it. It will try telling you to make a U turn for 2 reasons one because it is safe to do so and will stop telling you if you ignore it. That being said you can still make a U turn. If you know that your going to be able to make one do it the gps will know you turned around. GPS are helpful not fool prof.
