12v power for spare radio testing

so the battery jumper puts out the same current/power as a normal car battery? I don't know if the battery jumper puts out a big burst of current/power for jumping

I don't know if the battery jumper puts out a big burst of current/power for jumping the car?

someone was telling me that it may damage the radio if i connect it directly to the battery jumper or car battery due to excessive current? I don't know much about electrical things....

Thanks.
