Non Navi to Navi upgrade.

Hi guys, so I am looking to upgrade from my simple stock unit to a 2016 oem Navi system. I was wondering if it’s possible? If so, what tool or extras would I need?

Also, if it isn’t possible, what units would you guys recommend?

So this quest has been asked about before if u search the forums. But to save you some time with that don’t do it as u need a need controller unit and that is about $5k and a headache of trying to get at wires right. So save some time and go aftermarket you’ll do better.

any advice on aftermarket?

Well that will come down to what you want out of your head unit. Any seem good I have been waiting for a good wireless CarPlay unit but I would recommend any that has 4v out puts.

KENWOOD DMX809S and Crux steering wheel control adapter worked perfectly for me.
