This should work on the sport tech, at least it does on my 2016. You do have to switch your phone over to an Audio device for it to work though. However your phone will still work as a phone as well. I'm not near my car, but under the BT menu you should find an Audio device option right under phone option, select that, then select your phone, it will ask you if you want to convert it to an audio device. Then it will play audio from the phone.

I have. Galaxy S8+ when you go to the bluetooth setting you have
Use for then you have
Call audio
Media Audio
Contact access

and by each one a little slide over option my issue is i slide it over for Media audio but it wont let me slide and and says unavailable, this is only when i try in my car any other bluetooth devices noy a problem, is this the option you are talking about though?

Nope its on the car, on the touchscreen interface. When I get back to my car I can take a picture, but its there on my 2016. I would guess once you have converted it to an audio device on the car then your phone will let you flip the audio slider. I have a OnePlus 5T in another vehicle right now and all three of those boxes are checked.

So, I am trying to follow your instructions but there isn't a lot of options on the navigation-phone settings

idk how to upload pictures but after i hit my phone i only get a menu with select edit or delete.
hitting edit only allows me to change the pho e name...like i said i think i need the disc :'(

In that menu you choose select, that's normal.
