Looks decent, I'm guessing without the case you could see right through to the wood brace? I mounted a Nexus 7 2013 in my Kia Sportage and did something similar

Looks decent, I'm guessing without the case you could see right through to the wood brace? I mounted a Nexus 7 2013 in my Kia Sportage and did something similar as a mount, piece of wood with l brackets to hold it in place (2 screw spots). I used a case with the cover removed to hold the tablet, then again that was in a double din enclosure not the storage area above our decks, can that area fit a 8" tablet ok?
