Default 2013 Factory Nav problem

My navigation thinks that when it is bright outside (lights off), that it should be in night mode. Even when I switch it from Day/Night mode, it still stays in Night mode even though it has the sun(day) symbol.

The only way I've been able to override this is to turn my headlights on and then manually switch the screen to Day mode and it will work.

I've tried changing the clock on the nav and the dash to see if it may be set to 2AM instead of 2PM but that doesn't seem to do anything.

Any ideas or should I just bring this into a dealership to have them factory reset the nav?

You're going to have to post a video, I have a FEELING you're doing something simple wrong.

I'll see if I can do that. Just as an FYI, I took it to a Nissan dealership already and the service guy couldn't figure out the problem after messing with it for about 10 minutes. Told me I needed to schedule an appointment so they could take a more in depth look at it.
