Pioneer HU Bezel/Dash kit issue

I'm using the Scosche kit with my AVH-4000NEX and I do not perceive any unnecessary gap. I mean, sure there is a very small open edge all the way around...but

I mean, sure there is a very small open edge all the way around...but without that some face-plates would not be able to tilt.
