I simply ripped the speaker part out of the original speaker. I kept the outside plastic part and mounted the new speaker to that. Just don't over tighten and you will be okay. It leaves a clean install and perfect fit.

That's a good point. I think I'll continue with these, but I have a buddy with access to a water jet cutter. Perhaps I can have him make me a set made out of polycarbonate. It would be an easy swap.
