Those with radar detectors/dashcams, do you hide them?

I have had the Escort 8500 X50 for YEARS. I always keep in hanging when I park. The only time I take it off the windshield is during the summer

I always keep in hanging when I park. The only time I take it off the windshield is during the summer with the sun constantly beats down on it. If you're in a shady area where people may break in then I would hide it too.
