Need help with jumper pins on LC2i.

Turned the gains down on lc2i. When I in plug the remote gain knob humming goes a away but when I plug it back it comes. Any one recommend different

When I in plug the remote gain knob humming goes a away but when I plug it back it comes. Any one recommend different remote gain knobs. Looking to put it in between the heated seats switch on centre console have an empty slot
