Default Touch up or just repaint?

Got a set of sport calipers and theres a tiny chip on the side of the front caliper where the nissan emblem is. It is probably not very noticeable unless i am up close to it but sometimes i can be anal about little things like that. Dont judge.

Would it be okay to find a color matching touch up paint or would it be better to just repaint the entire caliper? I am well aware that there is a big price difference between the two options but will i be able to find a touch up paint that matches the color of the caliper?

i thought the OEM caliper is black but somehow it seems like a dark gun metallic with tiny metallic flakes.

i will try to have some pics up tomorrow

I had the same problem... Me and my buddy were installing my sport calipers on my Base model and he hit it with a wrench... But lucky for me he has a F-250 in red, He had a little bottle of touch up paint and it was a perfect match. All I did was add a couple of layers to build it up cant even notice where it was at all. Good Luck

yup, this. I did the same, using high temp engine paint, it kept building as i keep re-touching it.

Just use touch up. It's not a big enough deal to put time and money into

i would just use enamel and touch it up. ive been real careful on my Z, but on my G's brembo's i have like 2 knicks on the corner from hitting it with the wheel barrel early on...

i used regular touch up paint and it's holding up fine, but if you're anal i suggest using some engine enamel paint (high heat).

I used a touchup paint made for some red Chevy that perfectly matched the akebonos, and its holding up well.
