I got pulled over

for going 51 in 50....i know wtf...just got a warning and i was let off...wth? i was like are you serious..but in a nice way..and he looked up my record said you have a clean record i dont want to mess it up but if i catch you speeding again i will give you a ticket.... imo i think he just wanted to look at the car...

Or another positive spin on things....you may have just had a real a-hole cop pull you over but you caught him on one of his good days.....I mean he did just let you off with a warning....but 1 mile over? Yeah, that's a little crazy.

Even if he wrote the ticket, a 1MPH over will be thrown out if you protest it in a court.

Yep, true. I've been in court when judges call up over 15 people at once all for the same or similar offense and just talk to them about what they did and ask if they understood why they were stopped. Of course they all said "Yes" and the ticket was wiped off the record.

Seen a judge do that before with a handful of people who got speeding tickets under 10 miles over the limit. Call 'em up....talk....then tossed 'em all out. (I mean the tickets...not the drivers)

no doubt he didn't really pull you for 1mph over. There's another reason behind it, either you were going more than that, you made a wrong maneuver, something else was wrong.

nobody makes a post about being pulled 1mph over and upset for not getting a ticket. there's more to the story.

Typically you won't be found guilty of speeding if it is less than 10% over the posted limit. I've never heard of a cop pulling someone over for 1 mile over anyway, I call bs on that story. How would anyone expect someone to drive within 1 mph of a posted limit? Be serious. Even cruise control can't do that.
