Default Window sticking in the cold

First winter with the z. Went to start the car and the window was frozen so it wouldn't really open or close well until the ice was broken apart. I assume this is common and I don't plan on a remote start. Anyone else have any issues with this?

Not a big problem here in S AR, but when I lived in N IL I found that keeping the seals dry would eliminate most icing/sticking problems. Make sure to dry the seals after washing or driving in rain.

Had that problem when visiting the folks for Christmas last year. Definitely be careful not to rip the seals when opening the door. Also, FYI - the gas cap likes to freeze over as well so if you have to fill up when you twist the cap off it will pop off that little string thing its attached to but you can simply pop it back on.

Yea that happens to me too. Just break off as much ice as possible around the window. If the window still doesn't retract down that 1/2 inch or so when you open it, you can close it with the window stuck in the maximum up position. Just close slowly. First time that happened to me I was afraid to close the door in fear that I might crack or shatter my window but never had any problems like that.

As per the window rolling down when you open the door - it's to relieve the pressure differential, and make it easier to open the door. It won't damage the car if you attempt to have it fully up and closing the door, though. I took my battery out and opened and closed my door no problem, albeit opening was a tad harder.
