Matched door handles

Let me start by saying, I love silver handles on the other colors but something about the magnetic black just makes them look out of place imo. It bothered me enough that I decided to finally tackle the project myself and placed an order at Paintscratch.com for G41 magnetic black touchup spray

It actually turned out well I think but I'll let the pics do the talking:

2 coats of SEM adhesion promoter
2 coats of SEM rubberized primer
3 coats of metallic black basecoat
6 coats of DupliColor professional clear

It's pretty interesting... part of me likes the matching... and then part of me likes how the silver handles makes the black come out more. Overall, nice looking though.

love the matching....just seems to flow a bit better along the side and kinda "smooth" it out. good job

I plan on painting mine. They should have done this from the factory.

Agreed!

I have seen a few that painted them black on non black cars and they look good too. The silver/gray was just an eye sore imo especially after changing the wheels.

I've decided I definitely want to keep them black. My pics just can't convey their appearance in person!

That's saying a lot, considering the fact the the photos look quite awesome!

i think the silver door handles match the headlights, the wheels and the Z symbol on the side. I would not color match them, but thats just me...

No, I agree with you. I enjoy the contrast of the silver door handles more than color matched. Color matched handles are on every car.

That said, it can look good when properly done, as it is with the cars pictured in this thread. I just like the stock look better.

The funny thing is the door handles now have a better paint job than the rest of the car lol
