from my researches, valentine1 is amazing on highways. escort 9500ix is better for city uses because it falses less and it has a gps that can remember where falses are. but none of these are $200 or less. but theyre really worth it

200 or less???? eeek.... You won't find a "good" one at that price IMO... maybe a used Escort.
I have the new 9500ix (gps based)..... worth EVERY penny. Had it for 3 months only, already saved my more than the cost of the unit itself.

If I didn't live in The Republic of VA I would get a Valentine 1 or Escort.
