Default Nismo upgrade??

So I previously owned a touring sport with the BOSE system and rear subwoofer until it was recently totaled. Decided to go with a Nismo as a replacement but would like to upgrade the sound system a little. I'm not a huge audiophile and don't need anything crazy. The stock touring BOSE system was good enough for me, just to give you an idea of where I'm looking to be. I was just wondering if I pulled the subwoofer from my totaled Z is it just a simple plug and play into the NISMO? Are the hook ups already back there? Would it make a difference with the stock NISMO system?

What other options do I have to get a better system. I'm looking to do as minimal as possible. Could I simply just get better speakers or does the whole head unit need to be replaced as well? What are some good basic speakers or systems I should look at keeping in mind I don't want anything too fancy or crazy?

Thanks.

unless you have the Boes system in the Nismo, it wont work. I would look at just adding a small amp and sub, and some good front speakers.

Nissan makes many different harnesses for the vehicles. Well most all manufactures do this now, this is why you can't mix and match options like you used to. They make packages you have to buy to get a certain option because the custom wiring would be too costly for them.

Just get some aftermarket speakers 6.5 for the doors and a small sub. To save some space simplify the install you may look at some CDT component sets. woofersect.com some on sale in the $150 range some a little less. With an amp these may meet your audio/bass needs. Check out some reviews.

CDT is not my first recommendation especially their lower models maybe their higher end ones. First ones come to mind are the polk db's in tht price range maybe spend a bit more for a set of focals or the polk mm series.
