Is there anyway of removing the 3M clear tape on the convertible top deck lid without damaging the paint Thanks Matt

That's something I'd take to a detail shop. Our paint is very, very soft, and when, not if, they mess it up theyll have to fix it/repaint it. Better them than you.

Go to a local body shop supply spot, ask for decal remover. Why pay someone $50 an hour to spray aerosol on your decal and peel it right off. I'll add that I'm still boggled by the whole "soft nissan paint" thing.
