I noticed a few days ago when the A/C is on, not auto, the air source changes from recirculate to fresh by itself. It only does this when driving home

Air source control issue.
I noticed a few days ago when the A/C is on, not auto, the air source changes from recirculate to fresh by itself. It only does this when driving home at 1am. Don't know if this is normal because I never noticed it before. Anyone ever experience this before? Thanks
