So, I have been exchanging emails with Nissan corporate for a little while now. Basically they want to take some portion of the forum $$$ (which we are already having trouble running) and some of the corporate member want to be in "administrator" or "moderator" position so that they can control better how their product gets reviewed. This is something Nissan is going to do to all the Nissan related forum. I was simply the first one they asked. I told them, heck with it. I'm not doing it. If anything we'll stop talking about 370Zs. Well, since we wont' talk about 370Zs, I said the next best thing would be Theyodawg. We are changing our forum to 370Z forum to theyodawg forum. I'm in the process to change the forum url now.

Since we are going to be talking about Yo dawg stuff a lot from now on, I went ahead and made this small video for those who don’t know what “Yo Dawg” is.

Killing the fan club!

Nissan seems to be trying to prove they are a typical corporation. They can not take any criticism and are looking to make a bigger profit from their fans. They do not understand that we are a 370Z fan club taking about our love for their cars. If they want to increase fans and car sales, they should become sponsor, not try to take over! And thank you for your hard work!

If they want the url, make them pay for it. It should be worth a lot of money!

Tell Nissan we're changing the name to the "Zed".com and we're moving to Canada where the name matches the car and they can't touch us legally.

so silly of them. This forum was a major factor in my getting a Z. Without the knowledge i gained from this forum i probably wouldn't have gone through with getting one.

I joined this forum 2 weeks ago and bought by 370Z 4 days later. IF I knew this was going to happen I would have looked somewhere else. :rofl2: Perhaps Nissan Motor Corp would like to help pay for my mods if that's the case. ;)

Because if Ak's efforts in creating this Forum, and from the help of some members of this Forum, I have made two Nissan purchases, that with out the help from this list, maybe wouldn't have been made. The Nissan Dealer and Parts Dept. were clueless as to how to obtain these parts, and when I gave them the info I got from the Forum, they logged it into their system for future customers. So the Forum already made money for Nissan. Nissan should pay the Forum for it's advertising capabilities.

What ever you call our Forum Ak, I'll remain a part of it. Thanks again for all your hard work, sorry you had to go through this.

But that's over with now, so let's what you've got in store for us going forward!!
