The 350Z ones don't fit the 370Z's wheel correctly. They can't actually be torqued down properly, and thus you're really riding on 4 lugs. This is bad, as documented here: Broken wheel stud and lug nut.

Apparently Nissan didn't have the correct ones at launch, and didn't mention the incompatibility to dealers, and a lot of dealers installed the 350 ones onto 370s that they sold. Apparently even after doing it several times, it didn't dawn on them that there was a big difference in shape between the 350 lock nut they just put on and the 370 regular nut they just took off

And yes, Nissan does have the correct ones now, although your dealer may not have them in stock. Check out that thread for more info.
