I despised my DS2500's on the STI. I would go HP+ before DS2500
As Chris Pointed out, the carbo's may be a little more track oriented. My buddy ran Cobalts on his car for autox AND track and they were amazing, but again, those are more track oriented as well.
Perhaps HP+ would be right up your alley...though they are noisy and dusty.
