Take it to the dealer. That's not right. It probably needs to be calibrated.

BUT FIRST!

Go outside and disconnect the battery and leave it for a while. Come back and reconnect the battery. This will reset the ECU and possibly clear any random glitch that might be causing your tachometer problem.

If that doesn't work, take it in to the dealer and be sure to let them know that you disconnected the battery and it didn't help.
