Thanks to Krzykanuk for posting that wonderful graph. I can see the dates follow a logical path, thus reducing the doubt I had that the numbers were random.

Nice graph. I'm #426. Got my # from a certain Product Manager at the Franklin, TN USA headquarters of a certain car company who looked it up on an Excel spreadsheet in his office. He also has the nice 40th Anniversary Z poster in a frame on his wall. So I'm pretty OK that my build # is legit. Too bad the build #'s weren't provided with the cars.

Any chance you could ask him to email you the spreadsheet so we could post it on this forum? Maybe it includes the Canadian build numbers.

Way ahead of you on that one. Unfortunately, the sharing of internal documents with interested external parties is evidently frowned upon, in their establishment.

Understandable, I guess. These build numbers are very sensitive information. Can you find out if he has Canadian 40TH build numbers? And if I called him if he would tell me mine?

Yep that's what I was thinking! It would be cool to be either #1000 or 999! Will have to wait and see! So far no one has a vin number larger then mine so you never know!
