A brake light in the rear window would be more beneficial.

Without question. When I find the time to markup some rear photos of the 350Z and the 370Z showing the what I mean, it should be clearer what I am getting at, but you've got it, so I will clarify for others. The fog light is a more definitive shape and placed where on-comers will take better notice, but it can also be a visual nuisance...a Catch-22, by all respects.
