Mine finally arrived! In the UK the first run was in black (for Black Edition), and I ordered my Quartz the day it was available to order - so maybe the first customer Quartz in the country! Other European owners post up you number of 370 :tup:

Do you think we should have seperate lists for US, EU, AU, Rest of World?

I know you love piccies - heres mine - no 95/370 - a Quartz 7AT with Nav - with a few of its friends on our annual run out to the North Wales roads :happydance:

I live in Japan (for one more week). I asked a friend of mine about the number of 40th anniversary Z's are over here. He told me that there are no set numbers produced for Japan. The cars here can have any option added to them also. He had lots of Nismo items put on as options "suspension/upgraded brakes/nav/ect". Of course it costs a bunch as well. I think I'll stop by the Nissan dealership tomorrow to ask if there is a way to tell what the production numbers are on North American cars. No promises on a good answer though.

I'd be very interested in the Fairlady 40th Anni numbers.

I'm guessing only corporate will know the production numbers for the US. Damn, why was it so hard for them to put a production number on our cars? They did it for the Euro version and the Nismo models. Instead all we get is 1970-2010. I should e-mail Nissan USA headquarters and complain about it along with not getting my $4000 refund back for cancelling extended warranty and maintenance program after 3 months!

I already emailed NissanUSA to try to find out information about the production number and it seems like they avoided part of my question. Here is there response:

Thank you for contacting Nissan North America, Inc. with your comments on the 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition. There were only 1000 of that model manufactured.

Please take note we have put forth a request to obtain the vin specific manufacturing number out of 1000. When we have the information it will be forwarded to you via email.

OK. I stopped by Nissan here and the following is what I was told.

The other special models (anniversaries) in the past were in sequence during production. But not the 40th anniversary. DAMN! what were they thinking. Anyway the guy I talked to did not know the production numbers (how many made) between the 40th's production numbers. I did ask if he had a phone number to call to get the answer and he said he did not know it. I'm thinking "JEEPERSNATE" is on the right track with this. He has done what I was going to do next by contacting NISSAN USA and pose the question to them. They should be able to call the plant that produced our cars and find out from them the correct sequence numbers and get us the answers we want. JEEPERSNATE; please keep us posted on what you find out. I'll be unable to call anyone as I'm in the middle of moving back to the good old U.S.A from Japan and won't be back until next week.

I'll definitely keep you posted. I emailed them just now for an update on the second part of my question, which was asking about the production number. When I submitted the original email to NissanUSA there was a spot to type in your VIN number. So maybe they will find the production number like you said, VIN specific. :excited:
