Current C7 Z06 M7 owner with a C8 on order. Got to drive the C8 with Z51 on a road course back in July. While I'm not even a novice racer, I'm no stranger to racing, auto-x, etc. I've also driven several high end cars on road courses like the 911 turbo, Audi R8 V10 and lambo gallardo. The C8 is the only car the instructor kept telling me to keep my foot down when I hit corners. The car has massive grip to the point that it just didn't seem right to keep accelerating in the corner. After the 3rd lap I cam to trust the car more and it was just crazy the grip this car has compared to some AWD cars I've driven. As for rolling acceleration (didn't get to do any digs) I will say that compared to my Z06 I didn't miss the extra power. I could tell it didn't have the raw power my Z06 does but then again I can't ever use it because the Z06 has no traction in lower gears. While I'm sure the C8 Z06 will be a monster I'm sure the C8 Z51 I have coming will be more than enough. Especially with some basic mods I plan to add.
