I think Four Bros Speed's channel did this since one of them is trying to buy one at a 'reasonable' price and winded up at $69k; and brings up the price difference between his brother's Supra. I do get what you are saying though - I do like the C8 but it seems like most of the YT content creators are pretty high up etc.

My C8 that is on order, assuming it ever gets built with everything going on, is only 66k. It's a 1LT (which is more than enough interior for a sports car) with Z51 pkg and few minor options for color, calipers, etc. So yeah, I could see where if the Nismo Z started hitting the mid to high 50's a lot of people may just jump to the C8. A lot of people who play in the 50-60k range for a car can typically afford to go plus or minus 10k vs people who play in the 30k range of car where typically it's a 5k plus or minus. Also most, not all, but most dealers are doing MSRP on the C8. We'll see what Nissan does with the Z. If they follow what toyota it's possible the Nismo will be in the same range as the Vette if you account for ADM.

I think they need to keep the price down. Get in under the supra and under cut sales. The supra didn't do well at it's price point, should have been 10k under where it started. I loved my old 2010 NISMO Z but I managed it for 38k which I think was an appropriate price point for it. And now and days with the HP the mustang and camaro is pushing for mid to high 30's I don't think Nissan should push it's luck. Bring in a sub 40k 400hp Z and the Nismo should be closer to 45k for a base but needs to pack closer to 500hp to compete. Give me a 45k NISMO 500hp that looks decent and I'll cxl my Vette order no problem. I'd love the Z35 sitting next to my 280z and 300zx in the garage.
