The coolant temp is been giving me trouble. After 2 hot laps my temps would go up to 230F so had to back off. I’ve opened up my front nismo bumper and built air dam in front my intercooler to direct all incoming air towards intercooler/radiator. After this last track day I noticed huge improvement with it. 20min session needed one slower pace lap towards end of the session to cool down the temps and then finishing off with one or 2 hot laps. With this cooling mod and stoptech bbk, 80F ambient temp, this one was one of my most enjoyable track day i think I ever had. I have 2 day event with TrackXperienZ following week so possibly I’ll sign up for one day with nasa.
Here’s the picture of my air dam.
Thanks! I have an air dam ready to go for the oil cooler, mounted in front of the radiator, but I think I will have to relocate it to get my oil temps under control and eventually build an air damn for the radiator too. Glad you had a good time, I went with TrackXperienZ once last year, it was nice but for me I didn't like the people attending so much, $100k+ cars in advanced group with no clue how to drive in the rain.
