To the OP's first question, I have driven both as well, and the G37 shifting is not as aggressive or fun as the 370Z (in addition to this, the G37 is nowhere near as fast as the 370Z). Interestingly, those cars and the GT-R seem to share the same actual shifter paddles. Sorry for the bad news...
