I misunderstood what you meant there, but yea, you're definitely right. A dealer is going to flex a little more when you're buying a new car(whether they haggle that price by up'ing the cost of your new car is another story of course).
But I guess to give you a real world example of what you'd get, one of my coworkers sold his base/sports to carsense here in philly(pretty much the same thing as carmax), and they gave him $23750 and he didn't buy a car from them. I don't know the mileage on it or anything(could ask if you're interested), nor do I know much about how carsense operates and how they compare with other dealers when it comes to trades, so I can't be too specific for ya, but just to give you a general answer to your question, but of course it doesn't factor in supply/demand in this location, but I will say that 370's seem to grab a decent premium in this area compared to most. |
