Default P0106 - MAP Sensor trouble?

Okay so a few months ago, I had an SES light pop up. Read the code and it's P0106, which is relate to the MAP sensor. I've done a ton of searching, tried the recommended fixes, but no luck. Car only has 8200 miles on it..

DTC P0106 [NISSAN] :
- Faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor
- Manifold Absolute Pressure harness is open or shorted
- Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)

My question is, since I am boosted, and the MAP sensor is used to seeing vacuum in the N/A engine, is this a problem all of us forced induction users face? As far as driving goes, the car runs 100% perfect. From my understanding, our MAP sensor on the Z is only used for purging the EVAP canister, is this true?

What is the solution here, turning off the DTC in uprev? Or could it be that my sensor is actually faulty? Looking around online the sensor seems to run about $180, an expensive 'maybe' if you know what I mean..

Any input would be appreciated!
