i've done my own changes since i got my car with 1800 miles on it and have only used red line oil so far. my car runs amazing without taking it up the as
s from a nissan dealer. when i went in for my steering lock recall they tried getting me to do my 30K mile service (i was at 24k) and the price was over $600 for fluid changes.....yea i'll glady do it myself.
also i know people who used to work at dealerships and oil change places......yea they put cheap stuff in your car and take home the good stuff.....just fyi.
